Caught Up!...Again...

Since I haven't updated this since January I will do a quick photo shoot to catch up the year...in no particular order (I'm too lazy to put them in order. Yes, it's pathetic.).

We went on a short hike - it was muddier than expected - but Mary loved it and still talks about it. You can start to see my belly.

Mary turned 3!!! She is so fun at this age, I love it!!!

She took a ballet class and was in heaven! We think we might put her in it again.

Jake's grandparents are in town for Jared's graduation so we took them to Garden of the God's this last weekend and had a great time!!! Now you can see how huge my belly is at 39 weeks!

Mary loved Easter...especially the Easter egg hunts. She loved finding all the candy. And Jake found the special golden egg with money inside!!! Thanks King family!

We went to the zoo and rode on the train! Mary loves the train and carousel.

We randomly went to downtown Denver and stumbled across the Cinco de Mayo celebration. It was lots of fun!

Just chillin in the car.

FHE ice cream, there's nothing better!

First fire of the season, so fun!

Jake keeps trying to teach Mary to play baseball. She's doing pretty good.

Feeding fish is a great way to pass the time!

We went to a splash park yesterday and now Mary wants to go EVERY day!!! I love my little-big girl!
Well that's us so far. Hopefully next time I post there will be another addition to our little family!

December

Mary has been really funny ever since we've had our Christmas decorations up. She keeps saying, "Thank you for Christmas!" and then she'll run over and give us big hugs and kisses. She loves all the decorations and "Santa lights" she sees when we drive around. It's so fun to see her get so excited.

We've never had a topper on our Christmas tree and I've always wanted one, but haven't been able to find a star that I really like. Well, this year I got a band saw for Christmas and decided to make a star. So, Mary helped my paint it white and had a great time doing it! I think it turned out pretty good.

She loves her horse that she got last Christmas. She's very sweet with it and takes good care of it. One day I couldn't see or hear Mary - which is usually pretty scary - but when I found her she was kneeling next to her horse petting it and talking quietly to him. It was a very sweet. Then she gave his a kiss and moved on to her next toy. She is a very sweet little girl.
For Christmas my parents made Mary a doll bed. We thought she was old enough and with the little sibling on it's way it might be fun for her to have. She promptly took the babies clothes off and put her back in bed. For those of you who don't know, Mary refuses to wear pajamas of any kind. She thinks she will be warmer without them. So, I'm sure she was thinking the baby would be the same. I kept trying to put the clothes back on, but she would just take them off again. She sleeps with that doll bed next to her bed every night and we're never sure which of her "friends" will be sleeping in it.

These are my new boots that I got for Christmas. I'm really excited about them and think they're awesome! They are REALLY warm!

November

In October we had some family pictures taken with the Beckstead's. This one was one of my favorites...Mary is so cute!!!

And we found out we're expecting, the baby is due in June. We don't know what the gender is but we're excited to grow our little family.

Mary finally got a hair cut...sniff sniff. I was sad to see her baby curls go, but it's much easier to brush her hair and really she looks cute no matter what.

Jake had some work in Utah to do a week before Thanksgiving so we were able to go with him and spend some time with my family. I mainly hung out on the couch trying not to throw-up, but it was still fun. I was able to help my mom make her gingerbread house this year. It was really fun.

We had Thanksgiving with the Beckstead's this year. We went up to a condo in the Mountains and spent the weekend there. It was really fun! Mary had a blast hangout out with family all day everyday. She NEVER falls asleep on the couch...I think we wore her out.
They had some fun activities there. Mary got to decorate her own cookie. She was more interested in eating the decorations then actually getting them on the cookie, but it was still fun.

October

So I've been off the radar for a while and I'm trying to catch back up, so here's October doings...

We went to a pumpkin patch that was really fun. Mary had a blast feeding the ponys and going down a giant slide they had. She also like this tube swing.

They had a lot of fun things for Mary to do and for us to participate in too.

Mary participated in Trunk or Treat and Trick or Treating this year. She LOVED it!!! She couldn't get enough of it. She was so cute about it and always said "Thanks" - or at least most of the time.

It was pretty cold outside so we had to bundle her up pretty well. She reminded me of Edith from Despicable Me. We went around for an hour, but Mary could have stayed out WAY longer. To this day she asks about Trick or Treating.

We went and visited Garden of the God's one weekend. It was really fun just to walk around and see the pretty rocks. Mary loved running around.

Afterwards we went to a park and had a picnic in the back of the truck.

Mary had a great time on the slide. No fear for this one!

August!

So we are finally at August! YAY!!! Hopefully I can do some normal updates after this...hopefully!

A week after girls camp we went back to Utah to spend some quality time with my parents. We're usually not there for very long. So, we decided to take a real vacation with them. We get there Sunday afternoon and we plan out our week. Monday rolls around and we're waiting for my dad to get back from dropping off my niece at home when my mom gets a call from my dad. All I hear is "Are you okay?!?", "The trailer, you need the trailer?"..."Are you okay?!? What happened?!?"..."The trailer for your motorcycle? Okay, we'll be right there! Are you sure you're okay?!!!!!"..."Jake, yes he's here. Yes, the trailer.".... Needless to say my ears pricked up and I wondered what was going on. So, my wonderful mother, gets off the phone in a bit of a panic and starts talking in code, but we learned that my dad was in some sort of motorcycle accident and that he needed the trailer. So Jake went with my mom and I stayed at home wondering what was going on. I get a call about 10 minutes later and dad needs to go to the doctor. It was quite the afternoon...long story short...Dad laid down his motorcycle to avoid hitting the lady who turned out in front of him cutting him off. He, luckily (he doesn't usually), was wearing his helmet, slammed his shoulder into the pavement, rolled three times and then came to a stop. After 8 hours of going to his doc and then the ER we learned he had bruised his shoulder really well - he was in A LOT of pain, and only scrapped up his elbow, knee and hand. He was one blessed old man (sorry dad, but you are in your 60's!). He was kind of out of it for the next week. It was sad that we didn't get to do all the things we wanted to do with him, but we're glad he was okay!

Mom took some of the grandkids to Thanksgiving Point. Mary was IN LOVE!!!!

She loved seeing all the different animals and feeding some of them.

She had a great time with her cousins! They almost look like sisters!

Her ABSOLUTE favorite was riding the ponies. She STILL talks about it all the time!!!!!

She is having a good time, despite her face.

Poor chicken...ha ha ha!

Thanks Mima for taking us!!!

On Saturday we had a fun little outing. Dad got to come with us this time. We went out to American Fork Canyon and played around.

We found a great place to go shooting!!!

Mary did AWESOME the whole time, but was pretty sleepy on the way home.

Broncos had a preseason game that we got to go to! We also got to have pre-game passes so we went down of the field before the game.
Our friends came with us too. So much fun!!!

Our seats were AWESOME! We were 17 rows from the field. It was a blast!

The half time show was a bunch of little girl cheerleaders...sorry Mary that will never be you...

Mary found her halloween costume, she's so funny! It's a little big, but she'll never know!!!
